DocuSign

By DocuSign Inc. · docusign.com

3,9 Good

The world's best-known e-signing service with enormous feature depth and integration range. The catch: American company under the CLOUD Act, the data storage region is locked at registration and cannot be moved afterwards, and the Standard plan has a cap of 100 envelopes per year.

Best for: Companies with many international counterparties that already expect DocuSign, and where Swedish BankID signing is not a main requirement.

Pros

  • Market leader that counterparties worldwide recognize and trust
  • Broadest certification portfolio in the comparison: ISO 27001/27017/27018, SOC 2, C5 and more
  • Huge range of integrations (Salesforce, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
  • Cheap entry-level plan (Personal, approx. USD 10/month) for individual users

Cons

  • American company subject to the CLOUD Act regardless of where data is stored
  • The data storage region is set automatically at registration based on where the account is created and cannot be moved afterwards; if you want to choose the region yourself, contact with sales is required
  • The Standard plan has a cap of 100 envelopes per user and year, which becomes expensive at volume
  • BankID signing requires a more expensive eIDAS add-on and is not as smooth as with the Swedish alternatives
