Build a simple business website with AI
You need neither code nor an agency for a first website. Here is how to use Claude and Lovable to go from idea to published site.
A simple website does not need to cost tens of thousands of SEK. With AI you can get far on your own. Two paths, depending on how much you want to tinker.
Path 1: Let AI plan and write (Claude)
Claude is sharp on text and structure. Use it to avoid staring at a blank page:
- Describe the business: “I run a dog grooming salon in Uppsala. Suggest structure and pages for a simple website.”
- Ask for the text: “Write a homepage with headline, three services, and a clear call to action.”
- Adjust the tone: “Make it warmer and less salesy.”
Then paste the text into whatever tool you want: a web host with a page builder, or one of the alternatives below.
Path 2: Let AI build the site (Lovable)
Lovable builds a working web app from a text description, entirely without code. Good for prototypes and simple pages. Describe what you want, refine in dialogue, publish.
The fine print: Lovable was founded in Stockholm but is legally an American company, and operations may be outside the EU. For a public marketing page it matters little; if the site will handle customer data, read up on data storage first.
What you still need to arrange
- Domain and web host: e.g. a Swedish supplier if you want to keep everything in Sweden.
- Review everything AI writes: facts, prices, and spelling. AI sometimes guesses wrong.
- Images: see our guide on creating images and icons with AI.
Count on an afternoon for a simple site. It will not be a design agency’s work, but it will be published, and that beats a blank “coming soon” page.
