Microsoft Teams
By Microsoft · microsoft.com
4,4 Very good
All-in-one for chat, video meetings and collaboration, deeply integrated in Microsoft 365 with EU Data Boundary for data storage within EU/EFTA. Microsoft is however an American company under the Cloud Act, and the interface is often perceived as cluttered and resource-demanding.
Best for: Organizations already using Microsoft 365 that want chat, meetings and files in one package
Pros
- Full EU Data Boundary: customer data stored and processed within EU/EFTA
- Included in Microsoft 365 that most Swedish organizations already pay for
- Complete Swedish language version and broad certification (incl. C5 and ISO 27701)
- Chat, video, telephony and document collaboration in the same tool
Cons
- American parent company, Cloud Act applies despite EU Data Boundary
- Cluttered interface and high resource consumption on the client
- Lock-in to Microsoft ecosystem; limited value standalone
- Some support data and telemetry may still leave the EU in exceptional cases
